Jusat to answer Mike's question, nothing is working to get the MBR and
Windows boot back.
I ahve been to the windows recovery console many times and ran the Fixboot,
Fixmbr commands, being very meticulous about the paramaters etc.
I ahve also tried reinstalling the FreeBSD boot

When dd is used like:
dd if=/dev/0 of=/dev/da1 bs=1024
Does it completely wipe the drive INCLUDING the boot sectors etc? (i.e. does
it start right at secor 0 of the disk and continue to the last sector?).

7.x
But right now I just dont have time.
I was wondering if anyone has tried the patches BIND DNS Poioning listed on
the freebsd homepage (security advisories) on 6.1 and/or 6.2 and if they
worked OK.
the only question is, what branch + version should one upgrade
to to secure this. (I assume 6.3 RELENG or 6 Stable).
