Hi, I have jboss4 from ports installed on 7.2 Freebsd i386. If I enable jboss in rc.conf it works fine but only on 127.0.0.1. How can I bind IP for jboss4 startup script? -b 0.0.0.0 in jboss4_flags or jboss4_run/jboss4_java_opts with -Djboss.bind.address=0.0.0.0 also don't work. Any idea how

It sounds like you haven't used the ports version of JBoss. The ports versions may have prewritten scripts that would do what you want: /usr/ports/java/jboss2 /usr/ports/java/jboss3 /usr/ports/java/jboss4 /usr/ports/java/jboss5 Jboss Web is not the same as the Jboss application server. Jboss

There's a template for a startup script in the files directory: /usr/ports/java/jboss4/files/startup.sh I have hacked togeather a Jboss Web version of the Jboss4 port which handly means I can use the binary deamon control program that the Jboss4 port uses, and its rc.d script. Thanks

I am trying to run Jboss Web on FreeBSD, which is basically a Tomcat derived web server which use APR to replace the Java based static file serving in Tomcat. This makes it much faster but requires the native modules to be complied for each platform. I have successfully managed to compile

I am running 4.10R and have installed JBoss3.2.5. I also installed Tomcat5 When i boot the machine and try to startup JBoss it reports ports in use. I have to run the shutdown script first, and then the startup script works fine. I notice when I boot up that three packages appear to start under
