I've seen one similar in action...a client I worked for had a 16 port (I think) Raritan KVM switch in his server room with a fiber expansion card, and ran a fiber line to his office which was in a trailer. It worked just like you were sitting at the console. REALLY expensive, but it worked well. I'd imagine their IP based ones are fairly similar...but for stuff like that, I'd say go with Raritan since from past experience they tend to have the best high end KVMs.
