The process for building a kernel has changed since the days of 4.x. Now you
should just use:
make buildkernel KERNCONF=configfile
Leave the KERNCONF out to build GENERIC.

I presume you do something like :
make -jX KERNCONF=newkernel kernel
where X is a number larger than 2 ??
Run it without the j flag and then other errors will show up.
These errors are caused by a misconfigured kernel and reading your
kernel conf I found at least 2:
