See the commit logs, CVS history (e.g. cvsweb) or MOVED file.

 It is deleted in ports database,but many packages ( eg. kde* )
 depend on this port.
 So portupgrade brings up many errors.

It shouldn't..what commands are you trying, and what errors are you
seeing?

fortytwo% grep Mesa3 /usr/ports/MOVED
graphics/Mesa3|graphics/libglut|2003-11-06|split into graphics/mesagl and
graphics/libglut
fortytwo%
