There are a lot of example in gpart(8) man page. You should use it I think you should do something like gpart bootcode -b /boot/pmbr ada0 gpart bootcode -p /boot/gptzfsboot -i 1 ada0 (The second assume that you have a freebsd-boot as first index in ada0) Cheers, 2013/2/22 uki
