Hmm.  Those warning messages don't stop me from getting sound.  Does
sound work on the "real" system?  [Unfortunately, I don't recall
exactly how qemu interacts with the sound devices.]

I always have more luck with -soundhw es1370 (sb16 never seemed to work 
right), have you given it a try?
