FreeBSD can read an write (albeit the latter is marked experimental)
from an ext2fs. Reiserfs is not supported at the moment.
So you would have to change the type of your backup partition.
My second question is hardware related. Is the Logitech 4000 Pro USB Web
camera supported in FreeBSD?
