You can put it into /etc/dhclient.conf, e.g.:
interface "wi0" {
media "ssid wepmode on wepkey ";

Ah - ok - putting into /etc/r.conf
ifconfig_wi0="ssid foo"
will lock it during/after reboots; but kills the DHCP. Options are
