Hello,
I have been having the same problems with pptp
trying to connect to a Win VPN server.
Could not figure out what the problem was.
I guess it had something to do with the encryption
protocols.

I am currently using mpd. You can find it in the ports tree.
There are some sample conf files on the net too.
