is it just a display problem, or are you responding with [EMAIL PROTECTED]
instead of [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: unable to subscribe

2003-03-10 Thread Jason Cribbins
Actually I am trying to subscribe not unsubscribe

If I cant unsubscibe I might just give up and setup a email filter to kill the
messages...or if I was upset enough I might set them to auto-bounce unthil
they stopped but so far I have never once had trouble getting off a list I
subscribed myself to.

As a matter of fact I just recently unsubscribed my old email from the list
just before trying to subscibe again with my new mail accounts.

Check at the bottom of the email with the subject
"Majordomo results: unsubscribe freebsd-security-notifications"
that is returned when you send the authentication code.
You should find the following:

 Thanks!

 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 auth 2cd8eff3 subscribe freebsd-security-notifications
Succeeded.

I don't know why it sends the next "Confirmation for unsubscribe
freebsd-security-notifications" email, but if "Majordomo results:"
show succeeded you have already unsubscribed from the list and just
need to ignore the "Confirmation for unsubscribe" email that
follows.
