Perhaps you mounted the filesystem as read-only?

Run mount and check the flags on the filesystem to see if it is marked
read-only.

Hello I have mounted my dos partition at /dos and I am running FreeBSD
4.7-RELEASE I am currently attempting to write files to my dos partition
but
it keeps telling me it is a read-only partition. I am trying as root to do
this but it refuses do you know of any way I can write files to my /dos
partition. It has Windows Me installed onto it. Thanks
Jay
