Hi all. I can't boot into the GENERIC kernel on a IBM Thinkpad T40.
cd /usr/src/kern/i386/conf/ config GENERIC cd ../comple/GENERIC make depend make make install When I boot I get this: ata1-slave: FAILURE - ATAPI_IDENTIFY no interrupt ata1-slave: FAILURE - ATAPI_IDENTIFY no interrupt Memory modified after free 0xc456c200(508) val=1000100 @ 0xc456c200 Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode cpuid = 0; apic id = 0 ... Anybody know how to resolve this?
