I have a LG UP3# MP3 player and when I connect it to a FreeBSD 6.2
system, it attaches OK but hangs the bus (I/O attempts fail). Note
that the player states that it is supported by Linux so it should be a
fairly generic umass device. The display initially reports "MSC MODE"
and that changes to "MSC BUSY" and stays that way until it is removed.

How should I go about debugging this?

I managed to get usbdevs to report that it is:
port 5 addr 2: high speed, power 300 mA, config 1, LGUP3S_MTP(0x70b1), LG
Semiconductor Co., Ltd.(0x043e), rev 1.00
