As described in the PR, Alexey added the following workaround which
was tested on FreeBSD 7-PRERELEASE.
No crashes have been observed since this change.
The workaround is:
Running 8-current from 1-17-09 with generic kernel config, when
connecting a Novatel U727 to usb
this is logged:
Unknown USB device: vendor 0x1410 product 0x5010 bus uhub0

While tailing /var/log/messages the following was noted, attachment
of the Novatel to usb was recognized after a ~15 minute delay
The log shows:
Jan 18 05:39:42 lapster root: Unknown USB device: vendor 0x1410
product 0x5010 bus uhub0
~15 minute delay

The 3g0 device is a Novatel U727 EVDO wireless radio.
If the machine boots with the device attached, dmesg reads:
u3g0: on usbus2
Remove the device and this is logged:
u3g0: at ushub2, port 2, addr 2 (disconnected)
Reattach the device and there is this messa
