Re: VBox 5 getting window height wrong

2017-06-15 Thread Daniel Tihanyi
Hi,

Do you have the right version of Guest Additions installed on your
guests? I also have Windows 10 as a VM in VirtualBox (though it's
FreeBSD 11), but it works for me without any problems.

Assigning PCI ethernet interfaces to VMs in bhyve

2017-04-02 Thread Daniel Tihanyi
Hello,

I have a FreeBSD host running VMs on bhyve. I already have a few PCI-X
ethernet cards assigned to each of them, but only with one ethernet
interface. I would like to purchase a few PCI-X Ethernet cards with 4
interfaces. My question is if it is possible to assign the individual
interfaces on the card to different VMs? On the bhyve Wiki, there is an
example for this, but it is assigning the interfaces into the same VM,
although to different slots. I am planning to use Intel cards for this
of course. Has anyone experience in this?
Thank you very much in advance!

I don't really understand, what do you mean by virtual BIOS. If you
boot up Windows, configure the IP Address, etc from there. Follow this
guide to do so: https://ittutorials.net/microsoft/windows-server-2016/s

You use virtio network adapters, you have to install the virtio drivers
and NOT the drivers for the physical interface. Then configure the IP
Address, gateway, etc. in Windows.

Re: Windows 2016

2016-11-01 Thread Daniel Tihanyi
Hi,

first of all, could you please clarify if you use VirtualBox, bhyve or
any other virtualization platform?
Additionally, could you please share, how did you configured your
network for the VMs?
What do you use for DHCP Server? Is it configured properly?
Thank you very much!
