I've been trying to build kernel on FreeBSD 9.0 also, and it fails for me as
well:
clang -c -O2 -pipe -fno-strict-aliasing -std=c99 -g -Wall -Wredundant-decls
-Wnested-externs -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wpointer-arith
-Winline -Wcast-qual -Wundef -Wno-pointer-sign
