For me, it takes some hours of playing to make it crash.
May be, it could be done to implement the --sync parameter, as suggested it
the error report from gdk-gtk library.

GTK 2.12.9
But it's a problem specific of the S2_1 branch... trunk does not have this
problem... it has others ;-)
In fact, 2.1.9 did have this problem...
