Summary: AI skill level Project: Freeciv Submitted by: dunnoob Submitted on: Sun 31 Jul 2016 03:37:33 AM UTC Category: client-gtk-2.0 Severity: 2 - Minor Priority: 5 - Normal Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Release: 2.5.5 Discussion Lock: Any Operating System: Microsoft Windows Planned Release: Contains string changes: None _______________________________________________________ Details: Not a new issue, I'm only reporting it now before I forget it again: I start a new game. All AIs are easy, I click on hard, all AIs are hard, the skill-level button shows "hard", all as it should be. But what I really want is my own rules, therefore I pick my rules. Now all AIs are normal, because I have not yet updated the *.serv file containing "normal" in addition to a "rulesetdir". And the skill-level button still shows "hard", clicking on "hard" has no effect: The server knows that everything is "normal", the client assumes that everything is already "hard". Manual workaround: Just pick something else (not "hard"), and then again "hard", to get really hard AIs with a hard button. Finally I always flip 2 of 5 hard AIs manually back to normal; hoping for some differences in their behaviour until the new AI trait feature is enabled. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://gna.org/bugs/?24899> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Gna! http://gna.org/ _______________________________________________ Freeciv-dev mailing list Freeciv-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/freeciv-dev
