Follow-up Comment #7, patch #6599 (project freeciv): If 'saveturns' is 25, first autosave happens at turn 26. If 'saveturns' is 1 (minimum), first autosave happens at turn 2. These are correct (or at least equivalent to old behavior -> no regression), but can be confusing. Changes to that are out
