The only feed back by now voted for the approach used in the Qt client (tool tip + icon in stead of color). Personally I agree. I'll wait a bit longer to see if there are other views on button color vs icon but this patch will at least set a tool tip. Thanks to heilkitty at the Freeciv forum for the feed back.
