[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #25392] GTK2 Client crashes after city tab is detached and F4 pressed

2016-12-18 Thread Christian Knoke
Follow-up Comment #1, bug #25392 (project freeciv):

See:

bug #23804 switching tabs in gtk3 client buglet
bug #21570 GUI swallows one click from within science window

Can you please tell, which Ubuntu and GTK2 version you use, exactly?

Right now, in 2.4.3 GTK3 on Debian Jessie, the first click on a tab is not
swallowed, on my machine. I don't see the F4 crash, either.

The double click making tab a separate window is, AFAIR, a feature, but maybe
not of good use. Maybe on Smartphones? There is no way to "retab" the window.
In XFCE4 I have the "windows rollup" arrow down button, you can switch between
windows with that and have a partial use of this function.

If you click twice while you fear the first click is swallowed, you sometimes
get an unwanted double click, obviously.

If I close the windowed city tab, I always end up in the F9 message window,
while being started from the map.

Christian
