Hi,
I tested with 2.1.0-rc1 and am happy to report that all bugs are gone
now. I believe these bugs already vanished in beta3, if memory serves me
right. Not sure about the sound issue, because usually I only play a few
turns.

Do you still get this crashes with the newer versions like
Freeciv-2.1.0-rc1?
Could you give more informations about your client and your OS?
