OK; I've raised a new bug #20028 for the fallbacks, leaving this one to remind
us to chase the new art eventually.

Follow-up Comment #4:

Let's have this ticket for missing cimpletoon unit graphics in respect to S2_4
(civ2, multiplayer rulesets). That means Elephants and Crusaders. Even in
TRUNK having just these gfx (if we can have only some) would allow use of some
more rulesets.

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #19998 (project freeciv):

I wonder if similar usage of fallbacks would be acceptable
short-term solution (=avoid the client aborting at least) for
 Elephants and Crusaders too?

I think attached patch should go to beta1. It's much better than client always
crashing upon selection of civ2/multiplayer ruleset if cimpletoon is saved to
your config as tileset.

For these to work, also bug #20018 patch must be used.

Note that all tilesets lack civ2civ3 Geoengineer gfx. Ruleset just has normal
Engineer gfx as fallback.

Details:

Placeholder for known issue:

The Cimpletoon tileset is not currently usable with rulesets containing
Fundamentalism (civ2/multiplayer/civ2civ3), as while it has Fanatics, it still
lacks Elephants and Crusaders.

We're still in contact with the original artist, yd, but he won't be able to
help until at least the autumn.
