Follow-up Comment #3, patch #5700 (project freeciv): (Note to self: even though the patches could be backported to S2_5, there's no actual bug there because only fc_assert()/fc_assert_msg() conditions are not evaluated in NDEBUG builds, other fc_assert_*() are. Patch #5696 will change this.)
