Here again, had it been configured with --enable-maintainer-mode, configure should be automatically regenerated. I'm getting convinced that need of --enable-maintainer-mode is much worse thing than always forcing those additional dependencies to users. I vote for removal of AM_MAINTAINER_MODE.
