Follow-up Comment #1, bug #16521 (project freeciv):

Probably do you share the same files for 2 versions of freeciv. If you want
to install many freeciv version at same time, you need currently to use the
--prefix and the --datadir configuration options.

Maybe this could improved?

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #16521 (project freeciv):

sorry, this is a dup!

I experienced the problem a long time ago, but missed to open up an issue.
Now I just entered it but did not check if it is there.

Just did this and everything works without reinstalling:
sudo sysctl -w net.ipv6.bindv6only=0

To cause even more trouble: I thought I entered this comment right after I
found out, that it is a dup, but that comment did not make to here :)
