Follow-up Comment #2, bug #22792 (project freeciv): I tried getting rid of the ppp0 interface on my desktop machine to see if the desktop and laptop could find each other, but the desktop started exhibiting bug #19840 despite having local connectivity via eth0. (IP_ADD_MEMBERSHIP (225.1.1.1)
