Yes, it is. And it's currently only built if gtk-client is also built.

Follow-up Comment #2:

I'll write and commit some more patches to TRUNK first and then backport them
as one commit to S2_3.
Reasoning is that we are in datafile format freeze in S2_3 and support for
new datafile (modpack.list) should not change once it has been added. As this
is new additional - and optional - datafile, I consider *adding* it ok even
during format freeze.

[Freeciv-Dev] [patch #2299] Modpack list

2011-01-10 Thread Daniel Markstedt

Follow-up Comment #1, patch #2299 (project freeciv):

Yes I think this would benefit S2_3.

If possible, I even think the freeciv-modpack GUI should be integrated with
the (GTK2) client! (It's already using the GTK2 toolkit, isn't it?)

Details:

Currently user of freeciv-modpack has to know URL for modpack in order to
enter it to the utility.

Attached patch adds possibility to select URL from automatically fetched
list.

As this greatly increases usefulness of freeciv-modpack I wonder if this
should be committed to S2_3 also. Opinions?
