Follow-up Comment #1, patch #4102 (project freeciv):

While the magickwand is the only optional toolkit we have, optino
--disable-mapimg to disable toolkit detection should work.

Details:

There should be clean implementation of configure option --without-magickwand
to disable magickwand support even if magickwand is present in system.
Currently one can give such an option and it even works by luck rather than
design. It causes configure to seek magickwand from weird location where it's
not, and support gets disabled since it's not found.
Also simple --with-magickwand without value given should work (I think it now
behaves same as --without-magickwand).
