I agree in principal. The reason that the 'Americans' are in the Civ
franchise at the first place, was probably purely economical:
Americans would be more inclined to buy the software if 'their' nation
was included. :)

However, Freeciv is Free -- you can play any nation you want, and
freely select which ones to play against. I for one enjoy the comedy
value of pitting, say Babylonians against Canadians. ;)
