Hi,
I tested mode co80.
The display blinked but nothing has changed.
There are a lot of console related settings in autoexec.bat. Should I
copy/paste it here or it is a default (known) settings?

Hi,
can somebody provide a good autoexec.bat and *.sys files which will work fine
on Thinkpad 600E?
I need VGA, SoundBlaster, CD-ROM and power management
Thanks!

Just installed it to the dedicated HDD partition on my old hobby laptop IBM

By default FreeDOS has been installed with EGA video settings - with 40×25
text mode.
Why do you think *it is* 40x25?

Hi,
actually, it is 25 x 80 now - I've tested inside text editor.
Looks like I forgot how DOS look like, especially on the laptop's screen -
letters are quite
stretched in vertical direction (could it be EGA text mode: 8x14 pixels 640x350,
but not VGA mode: 9×16 pixels 720×400 ?)
