Usb keyboars are handled by bios, so they are transparent and work well on FreeDOS. Except: 1) old machines don't have usb keyboard support or are buggy. 2) Notebooks have it working for longer than desktops. As a side note, I can say that on *my* machine I have an adapter, because I use FreeDO
