My /usr/lib/dosemu/drive_z/appinfo directory has many (38) .lsm files.
The first part of the file name seems like a dos command. Google didn't
help. How can I open the files and view their contents? I'm trying to
learn dosemu (Ubuntu 8.04). Thanks in advance - Bob T.

lsm comes from linux software map
actually it is a text file filled with software details
ie:
http://www.freedos.org/freedos/software/
http://www.freedos.org/cgi-bin/lsm.cgi?mode=lsmlsm=base/append.lsm
every freedos package should have it...

both the rar and the tarball contain executables?
Regrettably even BMP's count as executables for Gmail :-D
Gmail blocks executables, some archives with contained executables and
some archives generally.
For me a ZIP missnamed as ARC used to work in the past.
If not, just brew a ZIP or 7-ZIP
