[Freedos-user] HowTo dual boot dos/win98se dos

2004-04-03 Thread Michael Bernardi

I currently have a 4Gig HD (formatted with Win98 format.com) with
FreeDos installed as the operating system. But since the freedos disk
utilities don't all support FAT32 I was wondering if it was possible to
add the Windows 98SE DOS OS (from Windows\Command) and the appropriate
system file to produce a dual boot PC?

Note I DON'T want to load Windows 98, just the MS-DOS 6.22 equivilants.

Has anyone else done this and documented how to do it?
Mike

Since Win95 came out I have had a minimum of one version of Win9X and
one real DOS, and sometimes multiple versions or configurations of both,
all on C:, and one or more versions of OS/2 on extended, and maybe a
Linux thrown in. I just pick them off a single menu.

Mostly I use System Commander. I also use OS Selector by Acronis. For
very simple DOS/W9X, DRDOS has a loader that provides a two line menu
for DOS and Win.
