The announcement on the main FreeDOS webpage of the new 10-Jun-2010 UIDE driver is inaccurate.
There is no speed improvement in the latest UIDE. That was achieved in the previous 19-May-2010 release. The BTTR webpage noted as detailing the new 10-Jun-2010 UIDE is also incorrect and details only the prior issue as well. The correct BTTR webpage with details on the latest 10-Jun-2010 UIDE is: <http://www.bttr-software.de/forum/forum_entry.php?id=8084> Ignoring minor init-logic reductions, in the BTTR #0804 post, it says "... The major problem was 'removability' that I felt needed to be addressed immediately, so UIDE can continue to remain SAFE!"
