For example: 1 - When I type install, it says Install is now working Then the screen fills with error messages that all say File not found It is obviously highly important to debug any problems, and it will save so much time if we can isolate them exactly. [Freedos-user] Release 2 is strange
All that software is strange. The CD-ROm installation did not do the work and now I tried to install via the discs and all these installations break with missing files here and missing files there. Especially textinst.exe is missing ... This is the worst software installation I have ever seen so far and no positive sign at all. RE: [Freedos-user] Release 2 is strange
:( Sometimes people make few mistakes. Give em a break. Sometimes when you do things they work on your PC, but not everywhere else. Volunteers usually lack the resources to test every possible Variation and possibility. Hell Microsoft with its billions rarely Gets it right. Open source is a community. Users are expected to use/test and politely Suggestion ideas and report bugs. The other releases where working just fine. Something went with wrong with this one. It will get fixed when the volunteers have the time to donate. Please be nice. Thanks! I had the same problems. I suggest you download the http://odin.fdos.org/ Use that and the floppy boot images to create your own base and then download the rest that you want. Don't forget to add your cdrom drivers to the list. :) I have to do the same.
