It looks great. Is NNTP archive complete? I have seen some posts here a
Messages on gmane never expire. So, all messages since the
mailing-list was subscribed to gmane are there, and even more if the
previous messages were imported. You can download all messages and
you'll have them on your hard drive and will be able to use your news
clients search features.
while back complaining that no one is using NNTP threads so I never bothered
checking that out.
Some people do not go on Usenet, but anyway gmane is not spread (yet)
across Usenet, it's just a nntp interface for the mailing list. And,
IMHO, those who avoid Usenet really do miss something interesting.
