I'm not convinced that Eternity is worth using anymore. It just
doesn't seem to build *and* work properly, even older 3.29 with
makefile. CDoom 2.07 does build but has semi-minor issues. Maybe that
will be easier to get working, but it's like 320x200 only and MUSLIB
is a bit quirky sounding.

It's frustrating because I have no idea which GCC is most suitable,
and I'd really not use a super ancient version or honestly even rely
on specific ones. Any GCC should "just work", but sadly that's not the
case.

I'm not sure if I should use SMMU or MBF-with-fixes or what. I guess
I'll have to fiddle with it some more. The path of least resistance
would be to just use some (old) prebuilt .EXE, but in my mind, if you
can't rebuild it, it's almost useless (to us).

Oh well, just wanted to give a (small) "heads up" on my (unimpressive) progress.
