Hi,
I have freedos running.
I have a directory with the installation files for windows 98.
When I run the windows 98 setup program, it complains that
windows 98 requires at least 16MB of memory.
This is the output of the mem command:
Memory Type Total Used Free
---------------- -------- -------- --------
Conventional 639K 61K 578K
Upper 16K 15K 1K
Reserved 369K 369K 0K
Extended (XMS) 261,048K 26,085K 234,963K
---------------- -------- -------- --------
Total memory 262,072K 26,530K 235,542K
Total under 1 MB 655K 76K 579K
Total Expanded (EMS) 32M (33,554,432 bytes)
Free Expanded (EMS) 32M (33,521,664 bytes)
Largest executable program size 574K (587,600 bytes)
Largest free upper memory block 1K ( 672 bytes)
FreeDOS is resident in the high memory area.
Thanks
Alex
