The USB lobby does not worry about the printer port for they did already succeed in discontinuing all peripherals that used to connect to it. IMHO a nice thing to have would be an ISA card with USB ports,so one could use new peripherals with old motherboards. Most motherboards are thrown away in perfect working condition, just because they are incompatible with new peripherals or new software (but still fully compatible with DOS). Excuse me for this somewhat off-topic comment, but I would like to know if somebody else is of the same opinion.
