Hi all, After Wine, now also Dosemu for Ubuntu 8.04 features /etc/sysctl.d files for setting the vm.mmap_min_addr = 0 thing required for both.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/procps/+bug/216398 LP 216398 "default mmap_min_addr breaks dosemu" somehow sounds like "4/2008 introduced over- safe setting, which is reported soon but not fixed until in 10/2008 somebody mentions the Linux kernel list discussed and recommended against that setting in summer 2007..." ;-) Without this 1/2009 update, you can still do the usual workaround to set the value in your /etc/sysctl.conf file (same vm.mmap... line).
