Re: [Freedos-user] More FreeDOS usage
Except they provide a CDROM of FreeDOS in the Dell box, ready to install. So Dell does not install FreeDOS for you, and they do not support it if you call in to the helpdesk. :-( -jh On Wed, 2007-01-24 at 22:52 +0100, Florian Xaver wrote: I read Note: Dell does not support non-Dell installed operating systems. at the page...does DELL support FreeDOS? ;-) bye Flo On Wed, 24 Jan 2007 16:27:39 +0100, Pat Villani [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I hadn't seen this brought up yet, but more FreeDOS shipped with new systems: http://www.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/e510_nseries?c=uscs=19l=ens=dhs - Take Surveys. Re: [Freedos-user] More FreeDOS usage
Thanks. I've been here all along, just sitting back and letting the community do its thing. This goes back a while. Even when I was with hp, they were distributing the disk with new units; just not as obvious. That was almost two years ago, and I'm sure the same people are still there making the same decisions to distribute FreeDOS with more systems. I'm sure we'll see more and more. Pat - Take Surveys.
