If you are a new reader of freedos-devel (or the other FreeDOSlists) then, welcome! If you have already been a list member for sometime, then you can skip this as you probably are familiar with itscontent anyway. We have only a few rules for posting to the FreeDOS Mailing list:1. Please don't swear. We don't want this mailing list to become whatUSENET usually is.2. Don't post off-topic. Remember, we set up this mailing list todiscuss FreeDOS issues.3. No flame wars. If you feel
really strongly against what someone hassaid, send a private email. It would also be nice to send only plain text email messages, ratherthan messages formatted in html or MIME encapsulation. This makes iteasier for everyone to read your posts. Above all, html files are realkillers for those who read with speech. Also provide a bit of context for your reply. Don't be afraid to citethe text or conversation you are replying to. At the same time, youshould be careful not to cite the whole conversation - just therelavent bits. The FreeDOS Project aims to create a free implementation ofMS-DOS. DOS is a popular system, and there is plenty of hardware outthere that supports DOS. Re: [Freedos-user] New FreeDOSers Bi-monthly Reminder

2004-09-01 Thread Jim Hall
Hi John. A while back, I cleaned up the FreeDOS FD-DOC project, and
moved most (all?) of the mini-HOWTOs into the SourceForge documentation
system. The remind.txt file went away, at least from the URL you have.

Email me off-list, and we'll arrange for another automated reminder. Or
maybe I can take care of it for you now .. I think I've figured out a
way to make it work on my end (finally).

OOPS! The remind file could not be downloaded!
Here I am, brain the size of the universe, trying to send
you a simple email, but wouldn't you know it, the file
doesn't even exist! Where does that leave me?! I mean, I
don't even know you. How should I know what you want from
me? You honestly think I can *guess* what someone I don't
even *know* wants to read? I mean just because I can
calculate Pi to 10,000 digits in mere minutes doesn't
mean I can read your mind!
*sigh* Humans.
In case you think you can fix this, here is the log:
