Also, since FreeDOS isn't normally run in graphical mode, it would give
the wrong impression upon install that you are installing an operating
system that you usually would run with a GUI.

Sure, most of us can install it with out 'pretties', but it would go a long
way towards acceptance/marketing if it was in there...

Actually re-including the graphical installer would go a long way
against acceptance/marketing, because it has a huge tendency to crash
on unsupported hardware. Whereas the text installer works virtually
everywhere.
Besides, I recently added eye candy to the text installer anyways.
