The kernel is 50M, so it's pretty big.

No. As for me, my FreeDOS doesn't even start, when I try to load
emm386 and the CD-ROM drivers. So I need to start with option 1 or 3,
if I want to use CD-ROM, and I disables the CD-ROM driver
