Re: [Freedos-user] re: FDISK Corruption - no smoking gun
Hi! I screwed up my analysis of the MBR files badly. I apologize for wasting your time. You haven't, i have also the problem...but i have created the partitions and formated (FAT32) with Partition Magic. I do not understand what happened, but the MBR does not appear to have been modified. It may be something to do with a restart versus a cold reboot. I will test that tomorrow evening. Good evening, all: I screwed up my analysis of the MBR files badly. I apologize for wasting your time. I do not understand what happened, but the MBR does not appear to have been modified. It may be something to do with a restart versus a cold reboot. I will test that tomorrow evening. Again, I sorry about screwing up! Thanks for your patience. (And, thanks, Eric, for the lessons in how to format the dumps. I have downloaded xxd and will use it if the requirement arises again! :-) ) Mark --- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
