Confirming. And of course I find out after my upgrade is complete but I can no longer login to my system. It never, ever occurred to me that Ubuntu might drop a package that was in the previous 2 LTS releases. Not cool! It had to be dropped temporarily to unblock other things from migrating to bionic. But I'm sure this has nothing to do with login issues, since freeipa- client is mostly just a wrapper to configure sssd and so on.
