The FreeIPA team is proud to announce version FreeIPA v3.0.0 beta 1.

It can be downloaded from http://www.freeipa.org/page/__Downloads
.

A build is available in the Fedora rawhide repositories or for
Fedora 17 via the freeipa-devel repo on www.freeipa.org
:
http://freeipa.org/downloads/__freeipa-devel.repo
 . To install in
Fedora 17 the updates-repo repository needs to be enabled as well.

For additional information see the AD Trust design page
http://freeipa.org/page/IPAv3___AD_trust
 and the AD Trust testing
page http://freeipa.org/page/IPAv3___testing_AD_trust
.

Wow!

Dmitri told me last week in Boston that something was cooking, but I'm
impressed at the changelog.
Congrats to the team!

Did you update transifex with the new strings for 3.0 for localization?

No, not yet. We didn't even update the repository with translations from
Transifex.
There is an i18n ticket scheduled for beta 2:
https://fedorahosted.org/freeipa/ticket/2435. For this ticket I plan to
change the way we store translations in Git (a patch is already on the
list), and after that to sync with Transifex.

AFAIK, Transifex doesn't store any history. When it is updated with new
strings, all translations for the old strings are lost. That's why I
would like to pull the current state into Git before updating Transifex.
