I just don't see where my configuration is wrong. I removed the / at the end
of the mount and it mounts all of the directories but it's still mounting them
as /home/home/user1 /home/home/user2 and so on.

Whilst rolling out FreeIPA recently we experienced a situation where by using
the default install UID's in the 74 million range are created. In our
environment ( mostly sol10 patches of rhel5 ) we have noted that autofs will
work for a while but then all of a sudden on sol10 hosts

My experience is I build with kickstart/satellite and at the end inject my own
one time run script on reboot and finish off the customisation then. Easier to
do and easier to maintain.
